The hospitality was exceptional—special thanks to Dilshan and Bikesh, who went above and beyond for us! We booked the Honeymoon Suite, and it was worth every penny. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated for our arrival, and featured a balcony with a breeze and stunning views of the turquoise water with islands in the distance. As a delightful surprise, the team decorated our room for my birthday and arranged a cake at dinner without us even asking! The restaurant food was fantastic in both quality and quantity, with a fresh menu every day. Pro Tip: The property is located uphill, so walking to outside restaurants can be a bit challenging. We even had the wonderful surprise of receiving a room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. The view was stunning, the food was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. We were very happy with our stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always welcoming us with a smile. Their hospitality really made a difference, and we would definitely recommend Colibri Guest House to anyone visiting Praslin. If we return to Praslin in the future, we would absolutely choose Colibri again. One practical note for future guests: the accommodation is advertised as being five minutes away from the jetty. This is technically true, but it is not the main ferry terminal used for the Praslin–Mahé/La Digue ferries. The main ferry terminal is around 30 minutes away on foot, and the walking route is not suitable for travelling with luggage. From our point of view, public transport is also not the most convenient option. We would therefore recommend either renting a car or taking a taxi, especially when arriving or leaving with luggage. For the best prices, we also recommend booking directly through their website. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily come back!

The pool, while not very large, is perfectly adequate for relaxing at the end of the day. The restaurant is excellent and refined, offering a two-course menu (a guarantee of freshness), but you must check in before 2:00 PM for dinner. A generous breakfast is more than sufficient to meet expectations. Perhaps the only drawback was the lack of family rooms, or the limited number available, which required us to book two separate rooms. Aside from that, we were very happy with our stay.

The hotel is set right on the ocean, surrounded by huge coconut and banana trees and beautiful tropical flowers. The view of the ocean from the terrace is simply breathtaking. This truly feels like paradise on earth. Although it is officially a 3-star hotel, it is better than many higher-rated hotels we have visited. The bathroom amenities were more generous than those in the previous 4-star hotel we stayed at, and for once there was a proper, powerful hairdryer instead of the weak ones you so often find in hotels. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always smiling. The restaurant is exceptional. The chef is outstanding and prepared truly unique and delicious dishes as part of the recommended dinner menu. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and plentiful choices.
